Cam and Paul reviewing a report
ABOUT PAUL: When Paul joined All-Tech in early 2018, he brought over 20 years of construction experience, general contracting and heritage renovation to the Group. Cam has always been of the opinion that home inspectors should have a strong background in residential construction and renovation. Paul is now registered in the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors Certification process. Some of Paul's most recognized projects were the renovation and restoration of the Fall River Restaurant in Maberly, ON, then known as Canada's greenest restaurant. He built a number of new homes including one of the first straw bale timber frame buildings in the region. His last major project was a complete renovation and restoration of the 10,000 sq ft Perth Courier Heritage Building in downtown Perth. "Know what you are paying for."
The pioneers of our country had to be a 'jack of all trades.' There wasn't any need for a home inspector, but in this century our complex lives have created a need for specialists. All-tech Consulting Group is just that. No one person has the background to be an expert in all the areas that may affect a home. Recognizing this and if it is necessary, for an additional fee, we can call upon specialists during the home inspection, to evaluate any specific area of concern for a second opinion. Time is short; waivers need to signed. Fortunately these trades and engineers are often available on the same day.
Our experience, continuing education, industry involvement and a love for the building inspection business is reflected in the quality of the home inspection. We will apply all our knowledge and considerable experience in helping you understand your new home. This is kind of education and experience that will help you make an informed decision about your house.
WHAT KIND OF BUYER ARE YOU?![]() First Time Home-owner
A first time home buyer can be somewhat overwhelmed with all that is involved in purchasing a home. We will take the time necessary to explain how all the systems work and how to maintain your house to get the most out of it for the years to come. Questions will be answered in layman terms, sketches made if necessary, to help explain a point. With respect to any repairs that may be needed, we will guide you on what has to be addressed first and give you suggestions on how it can be remedied. ![]() Seasoned Home-owner
An inspection will give you the opportunity to walk with the inspector and discuss the home at length. Use our extensive knowledge to continue your education and involvement in your home maintenance. Given our years of construction experience, discussion of any extensive improvements is possible. Relocation Clients
We are a participating supplier with the Federal Government's Integrated Relocation Program (IRP). We have done relocation work for the military, RCMP, DND, Queens University, Alcan, Dupont and LaFarge. HOME OWNER MAINTENANCE INSPECTION:
A "maintenance check up" for your home is an inspection to advise you of the condition of the home. You will be asked to prepare a list of concerns before the inspectors arrive. You will have the opportunity to talk with two former builders who will then complete a maintenance inspection geared toward reducing costly repairs in the future, along with timely recommendations for annual maintenance. We find that seniors who wish to stay in their home benefit greatly from this sort of inspection. Dealing with small repairs now can eliminate costly repairs down the road. PRE-SALE BUILDING INSPECTION: In today's market place, it is sometimes beneficial to have a home inspection done before listing your home. There are two benefits to this. First, you will find out, in advance, whether there are issues with your home that may be discovered by a buyer's home inspector, allowing you to either repair or declare these deficiencies. Secondly, having this inspection available during the sale can help stream line the process, reducing the need for a buyer to have a home inspection unless they specifically request it. TARION ONE YEAR WARRANTY INSPECTION: Experience has also shown that living in your home is the best way to understand it and become aware of any “quirks” and areas of deficiencies that may show up over the first four seasons. All-Tech Consulting Group’s experienced team is available to complete the “One Year Warranty” inspection for homeowners:
